Extract (2009)

The owner of a factory that produces flavor extracts, Joel Reynold seems to have it all, but really doesn't. What's missing is sexual attention from his wife, Suzie. Joel hatches a convoluted plan to get Suzie to cheat on him, thereby clearing the way for Joel to have an affair with Cindy, an employee. But what Joel doesn't know is that Cindy is a sociopathic con artist, and a freak workplace accident clears the way for her to ruin Joel forever.

Great cast ensemble, great performances and hilarious throughout. Although some of the dialogues were too long and for a simple story, I felt that the movie was a bit longer.

I knew very little about this film going into it and so had really nothing in terms of expectations. It has some moments, but overall the story doesn't really stand out. It plays from the bosses perspective and certainly sets out to be a sort of comedy of sorts with a serious message. But overall even if it passed the time it was forgettable by the end.

Extract features undeniable laughs and a serious ensemble of a cast.

The funniest American comedy of the summer.

Judge provides a great picture of what's it's like in upper managements; the promises and pitfalls, and does so with grace and great humour.
