Everyday Sunshine: The Story of Fishbone (2011)

From the shifting fault lines of Hollywood fantasies and the economic and racial tensions of Reagan's America, Fishbone rose and became one of the most original bands of the last 25 years. With a blistering combination of punk and funk they demolished the walls of genre and challenged the racial stereotypes and the political order of the music industry and of the nation.

Great documentary about a great band! Reality is stranger than fiction and this story is the perfect example of that. A must see for any music fan or musician.

a great and interesting movie about one of the most underrated bands ever lived. and also an interesting look on the american punk rock/alternative culture of the late 20th century.

Everyday Sunshine doesn't do the band the disservice of falling at their feet in worship, like too many recent films about legendary musicians

Even as a hagiography, though, it's pretty interesting: Fishbone predated-and outlived-the early 90s "alternative" boom that provided it with a brief marketing hook, yet the band truly embodied alternative music's underground ideal, challenging listeners of all races and musical persuasions.

One of the best bands of all time gets a fantastic documentaries.
