monty python- you can't get wierder and more bizarre for a good evening's entertainment ! love it still.

If you like D&D and Monty Python, this adveture film is for you! While the boys from Monty Python are abound in this, it's somewhat darker. It's still brilliantly funny. Erik (Tim Robbins) seeks to end the age of war cast upon his Viking people and hopes to seek redemption by journying to Vahalla, home of the Viking Gods, and must seek out "The Horn Resounding" to get there. John Cleese sets out to stop him, and many other obstacles stand in the way of a motly crew selected to complete the quest. Too much fun!!

The idea of telling the story of a Viking warrior who thought there must be more to life than rape and pillage is an amusing one, and for the most part Erik the Viking is an enjoyable film.

One of the funniest films I've ever seen. Not kid friendly, and as a Christian would recommend it with some reservations. If one is a fan of Monty Python, this film stars a couple of alums. That said, the film thrives on absurdism. A fairy tale for adults or at least upper teens. The plot is clear, unlike many Python films, and has some wonderful ROFL moments.
