Eloise is a precocious but lovable six-year-old girl who lives in New York's Plaza Hotel. Absolutely adorable. It was interesting to see Julie Andrews in this role; in most of her roles she's so proper, but in this, she was somewhat disheveled, run ragged by the irrepressible Eloise, and spoke with a thicker accent likened to Cockney.

I like that they try to keep the feel of the the original book. I also thought the story was cute, albeit predictable.

Julie Andrew's accent is atrocious, the worse British accent by far. Eloise is a good character, played well. The entire film is badly acted and unbelievable. Overall watchable, although you have to cringe during Julie Andrew's parts, would have expected better from her.
