Surprisingly able to make Las Vegas look romantic, "Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu" is good, light entertainment. I haven't seen any other Bollywood movies so I can't comment on the quality other than to say you *do* get synchronized dancing in this movie and that it focuses on young, good-looking people from upper-middle to upper-classed backgrounds trying to enjoy their lives (No need to worry about discussing social problems or violence with your date afterwards). I liked that (without spoilers here) it doesn't fully adhere to romantic comedy conventions and it has some laugh-out-loud moments but otherwise its kind of predictable. It doesn't have an MPAA rating but it's hard to see how it would get any lower than PG-13 based on one montage that includes implicit drunk driving and driving with a passenger holding an open container. Otherwise something you could take your grandmother to if she's cool with the idea of annulling a Vegas marriage.

It's got an interesting twist on the generic rom-com storyline, but it falls short in the final third when it decides to overdo the "marriage first, then love" schtick and ends up with the ending no one wants to see going into a romantic comedy-genre film.

The cutesy movie simply ends too abruptly. Some may call the end of the type in this movie more realistic, but that simply does not befit a feel good, love story. What's the point of a love story where love is never agreed, parents/friends remain unsupportive and there are no redemptions for the suppressed hero except in one dialogue on dinner table. So, decent one liners that keep movie going for most part get undone by lack of story progress and climax.

The chemistry was good but it was kind of boring and they built up their relationship just to have them not get together.
