What's special about the movie is how totally it believes in itself as a musical. The tunes, co-written by Sandler and a bunch of his pals, take on rock opera and traditional Jewish folk music with boyish exuberance.

This movie's dumb af but it's fine. The first song, Davey's Song, is actually very catchy. Plus I like the scene of him in the mall talking to the mascots. Good scene.

The animated, Hanukkah-themed musical is, in fact, 75 minutes worth of belching, barfing and poo-jokes braided into a Grinch-meets-Scrooge-meets-"It's a Wonderful Life" storyline that's as stale as last year's potato latkes.

never in history has there been a more unfunny, ugly, mean-spirited, annoying, manipulative, racist, product-placed, nauseating, offensive, and bad voice-acted movie with an unlikable lead!
