Delusions of Guinevere (2014)

Former child star, Guinevere James, is 29, overweight and washed up. She spends night after lonely night on social media sites like Facebook, in a vain attempt to make her life bigger than it seems. She also spends time "FaceStalking" her former co-star, Cadence Stone, who has blossomed into a modelesque A-lister at the top of the game. When Guinevere receives an invitation to a 20th-anniversary special for her signature Gelee commercials, she heads to the event ready for her big comeback only to have her hopes dashed when no one shows up.

This low-budget film is often static and awkward... Smaller scenes, though, like those when Guinevere interacts with her tough-minded lawyer of a sister or an old classmate from high school, have a realness to them.

Beneath the rom-com pacing and peppy underscoring of a Lifetime movie, Delusions of Guinevere is a surprisingly dark satire of modern celebrity.

I would give zero stars if I could. It's excruciatingly slow and almost painful to watch. Do yourself a favor and instead of watching the full movie, just see the trailer. It's faster, more interesting and shows the movie start to finish with no lags.
