I was pulled in from the trailer but left disappointed after watching the DVD. Johnny Depp is his usual awesome self, delivering a great performance along with the rest of the cast, but the screenplay was rudimentary and the direction by Tim Burton sloppy. The cinematography and set design was spectacular as usual (and not nominated for any awards!!!) but on the whole, too mediocre to be a well-known and remembered Burton-Depp collaboration.

I like this film. It is interesting and very funny, yet very scary! I'd definitely recommend it to other people. One of my favorite Tim Burton/Johnny Depp Makeup films!
