One of the great Warner Bros. Musicals of the Early 1930's. The ending sequence has some wonderful Busby Berkley dance numbers!

While it starts off a little slow (what do you want it's 1934), it finishes with a delightfully giddy third act. Busby Berkley is as insane and amazing as you've heard (and if you haven't heard, you have now). Extra kudos for the dancing underpants scene and the titular final song.

Amiable enough musical, with a couple of signature Berkeley numbers. My big problem with it is that the film sets up its musical numbers as parts of a realistic setting, then completely goes haywire when the play begins by using completely filmic conventions.
