Ok, the plot might not make lot of sense. But then again, who would really expect it to make? Loopholes and general weaknesses of the story are neatly covered up by that well done directing by the maestro, Deodato. Cut and Run moves forward like a piece of shrapnel in your ass! A total, violent, jungle extravaganza. And I'm talking about unCut and Run of course - don't waste your time, or money, on short versions. In addition, there is a cool cast (Richard Lynch, Michael Berryman, Eriq La Salle etc.) and that very atmospheric score by Simonetti. With tighter plot this would be 5/5, but even now this is a way better movie than Cannibal Holocaust.

Directed by Ruggiero Deodato, I actually liked this better than Cannibal Holocaust since he had a little more money that resulted in better gore FX. Jungle action/exploitation mayhem starring Richard Lynch, also with Michael Berryman and a sweaty, coked-out Willie Aames. Check it out sickos!!

Poor mix of jungle horror and 80's style action from Ruggero Deodato. Michael Berryman is good, though.

Preposterous action film about cannibalistic indians in south america who attack drug smugglers under the leadership of a Colonel Kurtz type with connections to the Jonestown massacre. Kind of interesting to play spot-the-star with a mostly B movie cast, but it's hardly worth it.

Cut & Run is the third Ruggero Deodato film that Ive seen & it isn't as vicious as Cannibal Holocaust (even though this does have a brutal scene of someone getting quarter by his testicles) & not as sleazy as House @ the Edge of the Park (how could you top David Hess). This does have a notable cast w/ Michael Berryman, Richard Lynch, Willie Aames (who has a Mickey Mouse Tshirt that I would love to own) & Karen Black (who is just shit in this) though. Its really strange w/ all the blood letting there are no squibs which I think seriously hurt this flix; I guess the budget didn't allow it but they could have skimped a little when Berryman was shot after being sprayed w/ a fire extinguisher because it looked like someone threw a cherry pie @ him
