Fairly good, if not slightly boring slasher film, with one of the best scenes in horror cinema ever filmed. The ice rink slaughter. Low on gore, but just like My Bloody Valentine, it doesn't need any. It's executed brilliantly, and Lesleh Donaldson shines as always, in her doomed role.

A little forgotten, but average, Canadian slasher. There's nothing terrific about this one, it's got some of the most classic cliches of the genre, even the fact that there's a twist ending is one big ass cliche, and it's also a bit slow moving. But the acting is pretty good and I did find the concept interesting enough. And the killer's mask is cool and creepy. For any slasher fan, this is one to see!!

Saw this movie when I was little and it has some moments of horror in it. The ice skating scene really stayed in my mind for a long time. This movie was made in 1980, but was shelved until 1983. The lead actress was replaced over a full frontal nudity scene that she did not want to do and most of the film had to be reshot. There are holes in the story, but I think if it didn't have all the problems it would have been a really great horror film.

Whilst a little slow in places, Curtains has a wonderfully sadistic premise that works well most of the time. It's quite difficult to tell which character is which and most of them suffer from a lack of development but the scare tactics are superb, featuring one of the most original and shocking stalk sequences ever filmed. The movie has a distinctly bleak atmosphere and the identity of the killer is suitably shrouded in mystery until the end. When all was revealed, I for one was surprised. Featuring some nasty death scenes, a few scary moments and a fun last shot this movie demands your respect as one of the better slashers.
