Sadly the most fitting description I can give to this Strictly Ballroom wannabe is "a gentle comedy". Then, again, having never seen Strictly Ballroom, maybe that's an unfair comparison. There are a few laughs here and there but mostly it's just appreciative smiles and smirks. The biggest drawcard was probably Kayvan Novak (aka the Fone/Facejacker) in a deliciously flamboyant supporting role. And Chris O'Dowd is worryingly effective as the sleazy antagonist. I would definitely recommend seeing it... if you've recorded it on MySky and need to free up some space.

This is a silly, formulaic zero-to-hero sort of movie, and I loved it. I'm a sucker for a dance montage.

Doesn't have a personality of its own, in dire need of a more robust collection of laughs and a few less painfully contrived subplots.

Go into this film not expecting too much I terms of depth and story, and you'll have a great time. Definitely had me laughing out loud quote a few times.

cute, sweet and funny british comedy about a guy who has left himself go after giving up his dreams of being a salsa dancer and then realize his new "american " boss loves salsa ans he wants to win her heart by dancing salsa again.
