Crazy Love (2007)

Filmmaker Dan Klores examines the strange love affair of Burt Pugach and Linda Riss. Pugach is a successful attorney in 1950s New York when he meets much-younger Riss. The pair date, but Riss breaks off contact with Pugach upon learning his claims of divorce are false. Discovering that Riss was engaged to another man, Pugach hires some men to throw lye in her face, and he serves 14 years in prison for the crime.

don't ever fall in love with someone who won't let you go. I can't help but think about how Linda's life could have been different if she'd had financial options other than the man who stalked her.

this is a documentary about a lawyer in the 1950's who was so possessed with his 20 yrd old mistress that when she broke up with him because he would not get a divorced and got engaged to another man, he contracted a black man to go to her house and throw some stuff in her eyes with acid. she becomes blind and after he spend time in jail for his crimes, somehow she forgives him and they later married in the 1970's . these two peoples were meant to be together but this life story is extremely crazy. it is worth the viewing.

One of the very best documentaries of the year. It's a fascinating and sobering story that almost defies credibility. If you can go into this one with little to no knowledge of what transpired, you'll be astounded (to its credit, the trailer gives away very little).
