really enjoyed it, Cory McAbee's got a real good brain.

There's no reason in the world why this father's loving tribute to his own two kids should be as uncannily riveting or delightful as it is.

At first it seems a simple and indulgent film. However, it gathers pace and is winningly acted. It is a groundbreaking film in its use of children and it pays worthy and unusual attention to them. We are presented with a child's view of the world in gorgeous images, and lingering scenes. Editing, music and script make this another winner for visionary auteur, McAbee (Stingray Sam). Clever and fun. A gem.
