I thought that only latin telenovelas packed up this kind of drama, but this movie surprised me with some soap opera twists half way thru. In spite of that, it's a gorgeous movie ?specially the food shots?, with very interesting characters

Overall this movie was very great and fun to watch, watching all the close up food scenes really made me drools. But why there was one part where the Michelin guy tasted Nicholas's onion beef and said it was really good? Isn't he has no sense of taste??

I picked up the movie on seeing a clip involving some crazy food presentations. Well, the movie itself is a decent watch, the plot, acting and storyline don't have much to offer, its strength is the beautiful dishes and effects going into the cooking scenes and they are good.

Great cooking film with interesting twist but i wish the cooking part is more prominent in the film.

The "New Year" genre of Hong Kong cinema often pumps out films with mediocre quality but highly profitable. This film is still mediocre in many parts, from a lackluster cast (even Nicholas Tse proved to be a disappointing choice for the leading role), and a cheesy and nonsense plot. Surprisingly enough, this film still entertained me greatly during my 10-hour-plus flight from South Korea to Germany, mostly thanks to the excellent cinematography of food and the cooking process. As far as "New Year" films go, this is one of the better ones.
