Six Prague residents pursue bizarre rituals. Mr. Peony builds a chicken costume to wear while enacting homicidal fantasies toward neighbor Mrs. Loubalova, who does the same dressed as a dominatrix. Their mail carrier, Mrs. Malkova, inhales tiny balls of bread. Newsstand operator Mr. Kula obsessively watches the broadcasts of news anchor Mrs. Beltinska, whose husband regularly scrubs his body.

Agreeably witty and bizarre, but patience is required to sustain interest in its intricately oddball, non-verbalized story for nearly an hour-and-a-half.

A strange experience, despite the lack of dialogue or real plot this perverted little picture is strangely captivating. The conclusion is a disappointment though, lacking any real pay off.

Svankmajer is more interested in detailing than developing & the film feels like a stretched short movie but overall interesting & fun, I've yet to see Faust & Lunacy but Little Otik is my favourite Svankmajer so far
