A good attempt but i thought that the American version was so much better. I liked how they added in some sub plots but i didnt find the acting or story development very believable despite all the positive reviews.

Fun, stupid over the top action that unfortunately gets dull pretty quickly. All the suspense, and thrills from the original (Cellular) is gone, and replaced with frantic chase scenes, some poor acting and a storyline that's all over the place. I really liked Benny Chan's New Police Story and hoped that this would be as good as that. I was obviously wrong. But in the end, its still a good, lightweight HK action movie that's worth only renting.

Film ini merupakan versi mandarin dari film "Cellular" (2004) yang cukup menegangkan. Kalau di Cellular pemeran wanita yang diculik adalah Kim Basinger, maka di film ini Barbie Hsu memerankan Grace Wong seorang janda muda yang tak tahu menahu mengapa dirinya diculik oleh sekelompok pria dingin yang begitu beringas. Disekap disebuah gudang tua Grace merakit kembali telepon yang telah rusak dan berhasil menghubungi seseorang yang tidak dikenalnya yaitu Bob(Louis Koo) Bob yang seorang Duda merasa iba dan mencoba menolong, walau sebenarnya ia juga sedang mempunyai masalah rumah tangga. Kejar-kejaranpun dimulai antara Bob dan para penjahat tsb yang ternyata menginginkan sebuah kamera yang merekam aksi kejahatan mereka membunuh para gembong narkoba dan yang merekam kejadian tersebut adalah Adik Grace yaitu Roy Wong(Carlos Chan), Dengan dibantu dengan Detektif Fai(Nick Cheung) Bob akhirnya berhasil membebaskan Grace.

Pretty good thriller and action movie. However, the plot doesn't quiet make sense as a normal person who go over the top to safe another one. Calling the police and pass on the info would make much more sense.
