Cinderella (1965)

After the success of the live 1957 Cinderella on CBS (with Julie Andrews), the network decided to produce another television version. The new script hewed closer to the traditional tale, although nearly all of the original songs were retained and performed in their original settings. Added to the Rodgers and Hammerstein score was "Loneliness of Evening", which had been composed for South Pacific but not used.

I saw this as a 15 year old and just loved it but now realize how lame it was. I still enjoy hearing Lesley ann warren sing...."do I love you because you're wonderful or are you wonderful because I love you.

I so love this version of Cinderella. I remember watching it when I was a kid. Lesley Ann Warren was the most beautiful Cinderella and Stuart Damon was such a gorgeous Prince Charming. The lines from "Impossible" are some of my favorites. The world is full of zanies and fools who don't believe in sensible rules - who don't believe what sensible people say. And because these daft and dewy-eyed dopes keep building up impossible hopes, impossible things are happening every day!

Its impossible not to fall in love with this film its fun, whimsical, and romantic with a great cast and fantasic songs all telling a classic story.

This movie did NOT work. It was like it was supposed to be on stage, but then things werent even big enough or too big and didnt work. What was with the step sisters being about as old as the Step Mother. The singing for the most part sucked. People-- see the one with Brandy.

Grew up watching this on the Disney Channel, funny how all of the song lyrics come back to you even after 15 years!
