After the success of the live 1957 Cinderella on CBS (with Julie Andrews), the network decided to produce another television version. The new script hewed closer to the traditional tale, although nearly all of the original songs were retained and performed in their original settings. Added to the Rodgers and Hammerstein score was "Loneliness of Evening", which had been composed for South Pacific but not used.

I love this!! I watched it growing up and can still sign every song. For the Cinderella lovers this is and the '57 Julie Andrews version is a must watch at least once! The acting and staging aren't the best especially in today's time... but it is still a favorite of mine.

I watched this movie soooo many times when I was 7; it's really great, and the costumes aren't bad either.. I'm pretty sure I was named after the lead actress too.
