Why do people who say they hate political correctness get so mad about the political incorrectness of this comedian? Dont they know its all a joke? Are they humorless? Can they not take a joke?

Wow, the hate for this special is not surprising. But still amazing that people don't get it's comedy and Chris Rock is trying to be edgy. I'm a white male and an independent voter and I watched this special with my Black friend. YES, the bit on Whitey made me a little uncomfortable and I did feel there was some genuine hate in that bit. Chris is an edgy and one of the best comics of our time, so I respect his comedy and appreciate his insight as a Black man in the US. But the rest of the Special is Damn good! He's gone through a lot since his divorce and you can feel his bitterness about that situation. This is a great special, but prepare yourself to be a little offended especially if you are a white person.

2 stars. Chris Rock is nowhere near as good as his prior work "Bigger and Blacker" and "Bring the Pain". Rock seems to not be as engaged as before and his material lacks the complexity and depth in his jokes and punchlines as before. It truly appears he isn't too motivated in this production (emphasis on appears as no one aside from him can really say). In this era of political correctness and call outs of racial inequality, Chris sounds off on race issues as many do. However this time around it's hard to listen to him as the material isn't as good as last time and it legitimately sounds like a complaining session and angry call outs. Everyone is entitled to say what they please of course, however I myself watch Chris Rock for comedic purposes. Not to hear whining and bitching. If he wants to continue weaving in enlightening lessons and viewpoints of racial inequality in his work--he's going to have to step his game back up.

He has honed this material, beefing up jokes and cutting out fat, and his comedy has become tighter, funnier if also slicker, shifting from a story of a comic struggling with demons to one describing how he once was lost and now he's found.

Really funny. Ignore the alt-right trolls. This was worth a watch and he talks about a wide range of topics. Everything from Religion to Mark Zuckerberg. You can tell the trolls didn't even watch it because his observations on race only make up a small percentage of the show. Great direction by Bo Burnham too.
