Chimpanzee (2012)

A nature documentary centered on a family of chimps living in the Ivory Coast and Ugandan rain forests. Through Oscar, a little chimpanzee, we discover learning about life in the heart of the African tropical forest and follow his first steps in this world with humor, emotion and anguish. Following a tragedy, he finds himself separated from his mother and left alone to face the hostility of the jungle. Until he is picked up by an older chimpanzee, who will take him under her protection.

This is a delight! It's moving, funny, sweet, dramatic and chilling in its ferocity. I definitely recommend, even though there is a bit of animal violence--and in typical Disney fashion, a sad occurrence in the storyline. Still, nature and nurture triumph. Soooo wonderful! Don't miss it!

Disney has once again deliver a cute, loveable, and heart-warming film under Disneynature like with Earth (2009), Oceans (2010), and African Cats (2011)! Chimpanzee is about a cute baby chimp name Oscar, who during the film is with his Mom, Isha during the life in the African forest. Though tragedy strucked at some point during the film that Oscar had to fend for himself until he is adopted by the leader of the chimpanzees name Freddy. I was really touched by how Oscar have to go through when he lost his mother when tragedy strucked. Anyway, I loved how Disney was to able capture this remarkable story of Oscar from the beginning till at the point he's now been parented by Freddy. There are films that really make you laugh, cry, and things that this film delivers. Thank you Disney for making films like this. I'm proud of how guys make a film that makes it one of my favorite films ever. :) This is Shad, your typical movie reviewer and Happy Movie Watching y'all!

This movie was an awesome natural drama. It not only gave an excellent story, but helps us understand that "human" traits and processes are not exclusive to humans.
