Carriers (2009)

A deadly virus has spread across the globe. Contagion is everywhere, no one is safe, and no one can be trusted. Four friends race through the back roads of the American West on their way to a secluded utopian beach in the Gulf of Mexico where they could peacefully wait out the pandemic. Their plans take a grim turn when their car breaks down on an isolated road starting a chain of events that will seal their fates.

Terrifyingly sad. However, realistic in its portrayal of such an apocalyptic pandemic. Acting was believable and not to strained. However, more information on the specifics of the virus, the state of the world at the time of the characters' lives would improve the film. Ending left too much to the imagination, another half an hour depicting those who survive would have made this movie horribly amazing.

This film is surprisingly good. It is extremely well executed and a fine example of a simple yet subtle film succeeding by sticking to the basics. Devastating at points, Carriers is an admirable piece of filmmaking.

Dull, boring and very short movie (~1 hour 30 min) that tries to cover a story that is to long to fit in it, like trying to fit an elephant in the trunk of your car. You can't bond with the characters because they ether die or the movie starts to roll the credits. Movie doesn't explain anything about the infection, how characters got together, what they did after they finished their journey in any way so that you should care about them, the outcome from the situation or the entire situation itself. All that coupled with some of the situations that couldn't possibly happen in realty (character acting and reacting to the environment) the movie is just meh...

Carriers has moments of genuinely communicable horror.

It's not a film about the gradual extinction of humankind -- it's actually about the horrible demise of humanity. Watch it here http://www.watchfree.to/watch-47bf-Carriers-movie-online-free-putlocker.
