I was going to say that the film was too short, but now that I think of it, it's probably the right length after all. Thompson's celebrity friends become overbearing and tiring after a while. I am a huge fan of Thompson's writing, have read much of it, but I expected something else from this film.

Great archival footage and interviews with friends and collaborators make this an excellent document of Hunter S. Thompson.

I enjoyed this one, though really, I don't remember a lot of it. Bunch of folk tell stories about Hunter, and that's about it.

It is said that Hunter was the Dalai Lama of all contemporary writers. This movie shows him in a more personal, moral way. He appears kind, excessive and very much a friend to those dear to him. It is a shame he took his own life.
