Wim Wender's beautiful film documents the last-gasp success of some of Cuba's greatest musicians, culminating in Buena Vista Social Club - one of the best albums of the last 25 years. Hilarious, moving and full of sexy, sassy, Cuban soul, this might be one of the most memorable documentaries ever made.

i respect the Cuban musicians out there! they are real GREAT artists! THIS IS MUSIC, AND THIS IS LIFE!! the movie makes me take a closer look of the artists far away in Cuba. it's so inspiring. music is something without borders, no matter where you are and how old you are. i also respect the one who had the idea to unite those musicians once again. they deserve our praise very much. i should hv watched this earlier. highly recommend!

A great feel-good movie. Even more for those understanding spanish. Â¡Buen musica e una atmosfera increible! Old men (and a woman) observing their surroundings like little children and still having the knowledge and vision of nearly a century. Relax and let the music take you away...

iIt's one of the rare movies where you see it and you get lifted just by listenning to the music or by the images. Despite it's authority, Cuba remains of the country so rich by its music, its vibes. By showing these legendary singers from the Havana, the movie just show it very clearly. A great moment in the end where we stay on Ibrahim Ferrer after he sings. Just the idea tha he finally gain the celebrity or should i say these seconds of celebrity is such a great. Not to mention the cuban flag which is being given to the crew. So 5 stras for this amazing documentary that i think a lot aficianods of cuban music or music in general could relate to!!!
