Just watch it ... cry ... and enjoy. A magical movie on many levels - great for children, but with a whole deeper meaning for us oldies. Particularly moving if you've lost someone close.

Why this movie was critically panned is beyond me. Brother Bear is a fun, heartfelt film. I love the themes of Native American spirtuality, and the two moose that provide comic relief, I personally find hilarious. Maybe it's because I was young and impressionable when I first saw it, I don't know, and frankly, I don't care. What I do know is that I love this movie, and I'll defend it as long as I live.

i really just can't understand the hatred this movie got, get out of your bubble and look deep inside this movie, it's about learning that love is the greatest of all powers, not neccerily couple love, but love between two. furthermore it shows that everyone have family they worry about, even viciouse creatures like bears. by turning kenai into a bear kenai learnt a lot of how wrong was he to seek revenge.
