The film is both sci-fi/fantasy and Bollywood romance, an ambitious introduction to a mythological cinematic universe with the expected hiccups of building a massive world from scratch. It’s an admirable attempt and unmissable theatrical experience for any Bollywood fan.

Who is more stupid? Ayan who is writing this mediocre story from 10 years? Karan Johar who spent 400 cr on this stupid script? Me who spent 400 on ticket believing the hype? First they introduced Brahmastra as the most powerful Astra. Then they told Agni Astra is even more powerful. In the end they told LoveAstra is the Strongest of all. If they don't have clarity in which one is more powerful, how will audience connect and what's the point of Astraverse? Negatives: 1) Dialogue writing is terrible. It's the biggest negative for me. 2) Story, Screenplay, Direction - Ayan sucessfully failed in all 3 departments. There will be a limit for stupidity and this film crosses it. 3) Love track. For god's sake why do you need love track in every film? 4) Shahrukh's role utterly wasted. 5) Nobody has acted in this film. Except for Ranbir in few scenes & Nagarjuna, everyone in the whole film was expressionless. 6) Villain is not powerful enough. 7) Alia is present only to love Ranbir & provide him with moral support.

I will only say this Do not watch the movie trust it will be a waste of time and money. This movie has literally no backbone and no story other than the too much stretched out love story which also contributed to the film's bad reception among other things, but credit where credit is due the sound effects and vfx are unlike anything i have seen in indian cinema they did a great job there if only they would focus on the rest of the movie as much maybe it could have been better. All in all do not watch the movie it is pathetic.

Anyone suffering from severe summer-movie withdrawal might want to seek this one out, so long as they prepare themselves for a familiar summer sensation. The film pops, then fizzes and fades: It’s a firecracker of a movie, for better and worse.

While the narrative and the characters are derivations of several aspirations, this still feels original and new. It’s a fun watch; the only hope is that Mukerji and the team will make a cleverer and more rational entry the next time out.
