Wiseman, credited not only as director but as producer, editor and sound guy, makes the gym's rhythm of motion and chatter into his chief subject - a ballet of sweat.

Well-shot, but often lazy, tedious and, above all, boring. It's one of the most unenlightening and underwhelming documentaries of the year.

Well, this movie is for members of boxing gym I guess lol Nothing special. I watched it yesterday on my boxxy software, great quality and subtitles. Amazing service.

Boxing Gym is a companion piece of sorts to "La Danse: The Paris Opera Ballet," Wiseman's previous doc that played Film Forum last fall. It's not simply that boxing and ballet are understood as kindred activities. Boxing Gym is itself a dance movie-which is to say, a highly formalized exercise in choreographed activity.
