This movie reminds me of when I took learning Portuguese seriously. I absolutely love the cinematography of Rio de Janeiro and now I'm thinkink of taking some more lessons just in time for Carnaval (2009)!!!!!!

The city looks breathtakingly lovely, the movie's Brazilian characters are charming and filled with joie de vivre, and using excerpts would take care of the fact that the pacing's a bit sluggish for such fluffy material.

It's ok, nothing spectacular about it. It's well done and all, have good shots of Rio, I like bossa nova. So it worked for me.
