If you were a fan of Dogtown and Z-boys then you need to see this. While never being a skater myself, I've always greatly admired the art and talent of those who are. This documentary shows how 5 skaters took skateboarding and helped evolve it into what we all know it to be today.

A fine way to spend 90 minutes for anyone who (like me) had even a passing familiarity with skating in the 80's.

Bones Brigade is surprisingly emotional and inspirational too, as these now-grown men look back on the days when they were competitive, easily bruised kids, drawn to Peralta's calming, avuncular presence.

A little disjointed, where I wasn't sure exactly what they were talking about, or if they had moved onto another topic. Also some very hard to hear and understand interviews, I had to turn on the subtitles to read what they were saying. Overall, a very good story of the beginning of the skateboard industry, with input from all the best and most influential people. Watched on Netflix at home with Josh, June 26, 2015.

I laughed, I cried...I connected!! This movie was not only an autobiography of the Bones Brigade, but a biography of us ALL who enjoyed skateboarding during our childhood and teens in the 80's. We lived the ups and downs, and ups again of this wonderful sport/hobby/artform (what ever you want to call it)! Thanks guys for allowing me to share that time w/ my kids (who now skate too)!!
