A wacky group of locals visit the neighborhood cigar shop, looking for good times and finding plenty of hilarious fun. While I enjoyed this way more than Wayne Wang's Smoke, the parts do not equal the whole. Michael J Fox was good but overall the movie was lacking.

Selvom Smoke er rigtig god, kan jeg faktisk bedre li' Blue in the Face. Jim Jarmusch og Lou Reed er alt for grineren!

While not as good as 'Smoke' it is another true voice of a film with great improv performances.

This is a very funny and entertaining film with very endearing and larger than life characters (for example Harvey Keitel's sexy latina girlfriend, Violetta). Brilliant acting that brings alive a lovely "simple" slice of daily life in Brooklyn (alongside an advert for moving there) as one might like to imagine it could be (the script writers had obviously not yet heard of Lil' Fame & Billy Danz, otherwise known as MOP).
