Matthew Hollis is man on holiday in Rio with his best friend. Both men have teenage daughters with them. When Matthew falls for his best friend's amorous daughter named Jennifer, they embark on a secret, if slightly one-sided relationship. Jennifer's father is furious when he finds out about the 'older man' in his daughter's life, and sets out to hunt him down with the aid of Matthew!

I watched this movie a long time ago and I still enjoy it. :) It's a classic.

A sex farce typical of it's time. The plot is quite bad taste and the acting isn't much better, Michael Caine notwithstanding.

Central premise of a secret romance between Michael Caine and the love-smitten daughter of his best friend (Joe Bologna) while the trio vacations together in torrid Rio may be adventurous comedy. Zany comedic conflict, however, is offputting, even at times nasty, in this essentially dead-ahead comedy that sacrifices charm and a light touch for too much realism.

It was ok. It reminds me of "Lolita". The beauty of Rio de Janeiro is heavily emphasized as well it should be. However, there are a bunch of things which not match with what actually happens in Rio. First of all, I'm sorry guys, but NO! It's very rare to see topless girls in Brazil's beaches and nobody keeps dancing samba all the time while in the beach. Second, it showed many aspects of African culture which is mostl located in the northeast of Brazil and Rio is in the southeast. And what's up with the really old cars?!?!

Blame It on Rio is not simply humorless. It also spreads gloom.
