Very unrealistic setting. I felt the plot was weak. The dialogues are uninspired most of the time.I had great expectations being a Julianne Moore movie.

Director Paul Weitz forgoes the tension of a hostage situation entirely, mutes any antagonism between terrorists and captives, and only unleashes the villain at the very end.

The narrative staggers on, enlivened only by the hovering threat of kitsch and the musical dubbing. Moore, like an upmarket version of Lina Lamont, in “Singin’ in the Rain,” lip-synchs convincingly to the sound of Renée Fleming. But not quite convincingly enough.
