Bad Dreams (1988)

Unity Field, a "free love" cult from the '70s, is mostly remembered for its notorious mass suicide led by Harris, its charismatic leader. While all members are supposed to burn in a fire together, young Cynthia is spared by chance. Years later, the nightmare of Unity Field remains buried in her mind. But when those around Cynthia start killing themselves, and she begins having visions of Harris, she may be forced to confront the past -- before it confronts her.

I got this because I like 80's horror films. This was MUCH better than I expected for a low budget horror film. It actually has some pretty creepy moments and if you're running out of solid horror movies, I'd definitely check this one out. It's not going to land on your top 10 list... but it's solid.

Highly derivative of other horror films, but still not bad in it's own way. A good cast and decent special effects made this one worth watching.

It's a fun film starring Jennifer Rubin of drug shooting Nightmare on Elm Street 3 fame. A survivor of a hippie cult's fiery blaze is haunted by the vicous cult leader, 13 years after getting out of a coma. PS, this leader is dead. Eeek! But not everything is as it seems. My favorite character was Lana, a sweet quiet girl, who just wanted some friends. I feel for her most of anybody in the film. Good effects.
