Proving you don't need money to make as solid film even if the subject isn't everyone's cup'o'tea.

A pretentious, grubbily voyeuristic paean to football hooliganism, kitted out with ubiquitous slo-mo violence, tactical post-punk hits and retro fashions.

Found it hard to pick anything good or worth talking about in this film, characters not believable at all.

I've seen worse football films ( Green Street ) but that ain't saying much. What the film has in it's favour is a great soundtrack that works really well with the feel of the film and a setting that for once is not in London. What let's it down is it all feels a little fake ( That's what you get when middle class art students try to do a film about working class hooligans ) and never really makes a point leaving you wondering what was the message we were supposed to be reading into. Another plus is I've realised how good Ultravox were before Midge Ure took over.

Not what I was expecting. A story of unrequited gay love with a late 70's football violence backdrop. Great soundtrack though. Overall - weird but watchable.
