Anwar is the story of a young man, an artist, who leaves his home and everything he knows in order to escape a world he no longer recognizes. All he ever wanted was a love story, Instead, his mentor abandons him and his best friend and his one true love betray him. Devastated, emotionally exhausted, he takes refuge in an old building, only to wake up the next morning to find his world turned upside down. I really liked the message and the story of this film, but the film it self was very slow and boring. A better version of this film is Mr and Mrs Iyer.

I think this movie was more about how people in our countries going so nuts for "LOVE". If politician's affair doesn't turn out to be right he will close all the stores selling Valentines day stuff. Good Art ( Imdependent) movie. A little slow in the begining but then it gets better. I dont think its about the issues of Hindu and Muslims. It just shows how people are still backward in our coutry and they seriously need to stop thinking that stalking is love. Song "Mere Maula" is one of the most beautiful song I've heard lately

i love the songs in this movie, it tells u how much love hurts, especially if the girl doesnt have a true heart, i would have done the same thing anwar did, when ur alone all u need is god

I agree that the story was a bit slow, but overall I was impressed with the fairly deep storyline.
