Eva and Kat enjoy a carefree existence on their houseboat on a London canal. Until Eva's dream of becoming a mother is reignited by the death of their pet. Kat just wants to get a new cat. The long shots of canals and rivers are just gorgeous and this unconventional setting really is stunning to watch. It's just a shame the characters themselves weren't so engaging.

It's a poignant tale encompassing love, parenthood, and the quest for harmony in an offbeat but naturalistic way. The cast shines, as do the gorgeous canal shots, making the film an emotional and visual feast.
