"American Wrestler" is mostly tired old formula. Still, what the movie lacks in originality it makes up for in personality

Really great story the leaves you wanting for more of the characters. Just a great story that is very well told. Lovable characters both bad and good

George Kosturos does a fantastic job leading this feel-good underdog film. His performance made you root for him from beginning to end and the plot weaves you through the difficult times for Iranians in America in the late 70's while demonstrating traditional American values through a small town's high school wrestling team. Good for all ages; 10/10 would see this film again.

We need more inspiring movies like the American wrestler that show we can still achieve despite all the challenges and we need less fictional baloney movies such as The Billionaire, or, similar garbage that fill the theaters and the air waves of our TV land. It is uplifting and a testimonial that we can still make it in US of A, if we have the Will and gumption to work hard for it! Great movie.
