I am a complete sucker for these kinds of movies. This movie touches the heart. It is a good reminder that the American-Japanese went through a hard time during WWII, not just the Jews. Though America was not so harsh on Japanese, as Germans were to the Jews, they still deserve recognition for their plight. Add a little baseball rivalry, forbidden romance, and questions of honor to this story, and we have a nicely done little film...

Director Desmond Nakano, who co-wrote the script with Tony Kayden, does a fine job in evoking the events and era and in guiding his actors through emotion-filled scenes. However, much of the plot revolving around a climactic baseball game is trite and detracts from the overall drama.

Full of interesting characters and placed in a charged setting, but the preachy and obvious spin it takes is ultimately melodramatic and predictable.

Everyone who lives in Utah needs to see this movie!! It is about our ignorant past....if we all see this movie, it could help us to not repeat our past mistakes. We are all human beings. We are a brothers and sisters. We need to love each other, and not discriminate against people who are diffrent than us. Powerfull Movie a must see!

Writer-director Desmond Nakano paints some of the characters in broad strokes, but his feature is undeniably heartfelt.
