I would have preferred a documentary that did more presenting and less pushing. But...the music's vivifying effect on old souls made for some of the most moving scenes I've seen all year.

Critics who do not give a positive review to "Alive Inside" are looking for things to criticize. Just look at the audience approval numbers. If you go see it you will be emotionally affected by it; you'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll be inspired, and you'll realize that music is one of the most powerful forces in life.

Amazing and moving film -- a must see. We need to get music to everyone in . convalescent homes, it appears to be more effective the drugs. They find themselves again and come alive.
