Great up close documentary about important topic. Loses a star for the black sequence in the middle of the film. I felt, this topic shouldn't be clouded by abstract sequences.

the rainstorm was great. AK stuck to the reality of the doc by unediting those scenes.

Despite the locale, ABC Africa is both new and familiar for those who know Kiarostami, and it's a great introduction for those who don't.

Amazing, appalling, absolutely enthralling. A great documentary that never, never explains too much.

One of Kiarostami's best films, one of the greatest documentaries I've seen and this will probably remain the definitive film about the African AIDS crisis. Tragic, hopeful, beautiful.
