Could have been an embarrassing disaster, given the US involvement in the production, but comes thru on its own terms. Duvall is fine, McCoist brings in the punters and the women and it's a nice flick in the tradition of "Local Hero".

it's a really sweet soccer movie. allie mccoist is brilliant in what i assume is his acting debut, and the music by mark knopfler of dire straits is really sweet

Duvalls accent was atrocious, not nearly as bad as Michael Keatons tho. I cant fault ally tho, he did a good job for his first film not too bad a cast for it either. Shocking ending too. Not a fan of ally in a celtic top tho, even if it was blatantly a rangers one turned green
