Darkness rises again in A Return to Salem's Lot, a mediocre sequel to the Stephen King classic. After moving to Salem's Lot to reconnect with his estranged son, noted anthropologist Joe Weber discovers that the town is completely inhabited by vampires, who proceed to coerce him to document their history and culture. The vampire society is interesting in concept, but it's overshadowed by the weak storytelling. And the acting is especially bad, particularly Michael Moriarty. A Return to Salem's Lot has some interesting ideas, but the filmmaking is extremely poor.

Sequel in name only. Moriarty overacts. Cohen overjokes. It should be scary not the satire that Cohen has made.

Cheap, craptastic, and unintentionally funny mess from Larry Cohen. Michael Moriarty looks lost, the kid playing his son is awful, and Tara Reid in an early role already doing what she does best... playing a vapid tramp.

Pretty crappy sequell, but there is some cool background music and cenimatography, and as far as im awar this is the film debuit of Tera Reid, (not like anyone cares)

I think this movie was a waste of time and film. yes its old but the acting didnt have to suck that much. Had absolutly NOTHING to do with Salem's Lot, How dare they put the name in the title.
