A Kiss Before Dying (1991)

Infatuated with the idea of becoming rich, college student Jonathan Corliss secretly dates Dorothy Carlsson to gain the approval of her wealthy father. When Dorothy tells Jonathan that she is pregnant and that her father will deny her inheritance if he finds out, Jonathan murders her, but he stages her death as a suicide. As Jonathan works his way onto Mr. Carlsson's payroll, Dorothy's twin sister, Ellen, investigates the apparent suicide.

puede que la trama sea interesante pero no mas de resto no trae nada nuevo y eso que es un remake

Good neo-noir thriller, boosted by a strong turn by the underrated Matt Dillon. It does get predictable, but the plot moves at a brisk pace, narrative thread is consistent and the suspense tight. Pity about the wooden Sean Young, though.

Sean Young is annoying, but it's interesting to watch early Matt Dillon and not-so-early Max von Sydow. Mediocre thriller, but nice actors' work.

The only reason that I give this film anything above a 0 is the climax, even if it is truely seeable a mile before it arrives and the half way watchable performance that Matt Dillion manages to provide with a script that is less then perfect. I am happy to not see much of Sean Young in todays movie industry, she has got to be the worst actress I have seen in my life. Her stiff body language and the hum drum manner in which she delivers her lines only adds to the "awful factor" that this movie contains. I feel ripped off and I bought it for $5.50 from the cheapy been at Wal-Mart. Don't waste your time with this one, read the wonderful novel or rent the original flick, both make this remake look like a DTV Lifetime movie...well actually most of them are better then this even.
