Why is The Philadelphia Story so well known, while the equally unforgettable Holiday, from the same director, writers, and leads, suffers comparative neglect?

Cary and Kate at their best together. Cary Grant was so young and vibrant here, and you can see signs of his old days as an acrobat. This is a classic forgotten by many.

To me, this film is much better than The Philadelphia Story and Bringing Up Baby. It isn't a screwball comedy, it's a romantic comedy, with a great message. Normally I don't like movies with a message, but Johnny's idea of finding purpose rather than money in life is truly inspiring. A little-seen classic for everyone. Oh, and Cary Grant is absolutely fantastic (as usual).
