A very brutal action movie. The movie in itself is not very good, but the action scenes makes it watchable.

A Dangerous Man is probably the best thing Seagal has done in his last decade and a half of direct to video output... and by "best" I mean it's a passable action flick; decently shot, lots of guns and explosions and karate chops and gruesome deaths. And it also keeps the cheese and juvenile plot structure to a bare minimum. Once again Seagal is a super-duper-secret-top-ex-military-commando with nothing to lose (but with a heart of gold) who gets involved in some thing involving a bag of money and some girl's kidnapped uncle. Fortunately, this film functions more or less like an excellent Hong Kong action-thriller that somebody decided to shoehorn Seagal into.

As a big Seagal fan from the very beginning, I was excited to see that he was back. Knowing that his movies are never going to win any awards, but are nonetheless entertaining, I was looking forward to the next film in his franchise. Unfortunately, this one doesn't live up to my expectations. While we get the standard action movie storyline and sequences, Seagal appears to have departed from his usual fare of having several hand-to-hand battles that he has become so famous for instead opting for a movie full of gunfights with more bullets shot off than the latest episode of "Rambo". A weak script, atrocious acting, even for an action movie and no attempt at character development only serve to amplify the so-so action scenes and do nothing to make this movie one to watch.

I love Steven Seagul but whats with all the gun fighting. His films were all about hand to hand combat.
