1 Giant Leap is a concept band and media project consisting of the two principal artists, Jamie Catto and Duncan Bridgeman. This is the film part of their first project. The result is a flowing, loose-knit tapestry of imagery, interviews, and diverse performances. Gathering material from 25 countries and dozens of famous and not-so-famous musicians, authors, celebrities, spiritualists, philosophers, and unique individuals from nearly every cultural background, this enveloping DVD is best enjoyed as a soothing audiovisual odyssey (select "loop mode" for continuous play!). 1 Giant Leap, es uno de los mejores documentales que he visto que trata muchos temas culturales en todo el mundo,entre ellos se destaca la musica, van grabando sonidos de los mas exoticos instrumentos y luego invitan a cantantes conocidos y remezclan todo en un estudio.IMPRESIVE!

If it weren't for the interviews with Tom Robbins and Kurt Vonnegut, I'd say his is worth watching for the music. But there are interviews with Tom Robbins and Kurt Vonnegut! And many others riffing on the spiritual and profane, mixed in with musical performances from all over the globe mixed together.

Pretty good, but too political at times for my taste. Check that, too radical at times for my taste. But it's always interesting and the music is good. Worth a look, but for all it's ponderings, Baraka still speaks louder and more succintly with no words at all.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS! A fantastic documentary made by musicians who tour the world talking to various philosophers and musicians....it's about saving the world, religion, sex, etc...greatly presented and accompanied by terrific world/fusion music (also a CD...included in a particular 250 GB hard drive, btw, first album in the lot). I am currently brainwashing everyone I know to watch this...and can't wait for their up-coming follow up doc later this year!
